Junior Ropes Summer Camp 2025

Adventure, Learning, and Fun!

Looking for a Summer experience that’s packed with adventure, learning, and excitement? HangDog Summer Camp is the ultimate destination for kids ages 6-14! Over the course of each action-packed week, campers will learn the skills of a Junior Ropes Attendant, including knot-tying, climbing techniques, and the science behind ropes. With hands-on activities, team-building games, and plenty of time on our thrilling courses, campers will gain confidence, develop teamwork skills, and create unforgettable memories.

Camp Details and Specifics

What’s Included:

Daily Ropes Course Training: Learn knot-tying, climbing techniques, and how the equipment works.
“Science of Ropes” Lessons: Explore concepts like speed, velocity, friction, and more!
Team-Building Games: Fun activities designed to foster interaction, teamwork, and lasting friendships.
Camp Fun: Enjoy traditional camp activities
Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack provided daily.

Time: 8:30am to 5pm (Early Drop off/Late Pick up Available for additional fee)

Camp Dates:

Week 1: July 7th to July 11th
Week 2: July 14th to July 18th
Week 3: July 21st to July 25th
Week 4: July 28th to August 1st

Cost:

$449 per Camp Week (For ages 6-14 only)
Early Bird Discount: 10% off if booked before Feb 15th
VIP Member Discount: 10% (Use VIP Member code for Discount)

Payments:

Payment can be made via online registration.
Camps are sold by the week only. No pro-rated rates or refunds for missed days.
Cancelations can be made 30 days prior to camp for 50% refund.

Pick-Up/Drop-Off:

Campers must arrive no later than 8:45am.
A parent or guardian must sign campers in and out each day.

Discipline Policy:

Must be reviewed and signed prior to camp start.

What Campers Need to Bring:

T-Shirts: Each camper will receive 2 camp t-shirts, which must be worn daily. If a camper arrives without a camp t-shirt, one will be provided for $10. (Pro Tip: Write your child’s name on the tag!)
Climbing Gloves: Required for all campers. Gardening gloves work great!
Closed-Toe Shoes: Tennis shoes are required. Flip-flops and crocs are not allowed.
Sunscreen: Since camp is outdoors, please apply sunscreen prior to arrival each day.

What Age can you attend Junior Ropes Camp?

All Camp attendees must be between the ages of 6 to 14.

What happens during the day at camp?

Campers will learn the basic skills of being a high ropes attendant. Skills such as knots, climbing technique, course inspections, equipment knowledge and basic rescue skills will be taught to campers throughout the week. Campers will also enjoy traditional camp games and experiences.

Price?

The price for camp is $449 for the week. The payment is made in full at registration.

Do I need to register in advance?

Yes! Registration is required in advance so that our staff has time to review registration paperwork and best prepare for the participants coming, we do not accept “walk-in” participants.

What to wear?

Dress for the outdoors! This is an active camp. Bring appropriate clothing for the weather. Sneakers are required, no crocs or sandals.

What to bring?

Water bottle, hair ties, sunscreen, medications, change of clothes on wet days and any specialty snacks or food required. Hangdog does provide breakfast, lunch and snack.

Inclement Weather?

Light rain will not keep us off the course. Heavy Rain, Lighting, Thunder will cause us to conduct ground activities in the covered pergola onsite. Dress for weather and bring a change of clothes.
